Facing the Silence

Fuensanta “La Moneta” is a contemporary flamenco choreographer and dancer. In her dance studio she is preparing a new show, but everything changes when one of her students, Israeli and Jewish, gives her the book La Cabellera de la Shoá, written by Félix Grande after his visit to the Auschwitz concentration camps. Fuensanta devours every poem by Felix Grande and can’t stop thinking about those tons of accumulated hair, about the captive gypsies and the Jewish women parading towards a certain death. It is then that she turns her show around and decides to visit Auschwitz to look the silence in the face. The result will be a mixture of dance, literature and music, a silent interpretation of millions of silent lives.
